Second Thanksgiving in a row where the kids are sick and we have to cancel plans. While we’ll miss the wonderful food and company at my parents’ house, I can’t help but feel overwhelmingly thankful for the life I have. These four humans are my world and I sometimes have to pinch myself to remind me it’s all not a dream. May you all have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

It’s been a crazy year again but I only have 1 wedding left to shoot! I think 2023 will finally be back to normal.

Although my own family shoot isn’t until Sunday, somehow Jackie and I were able to convince the kids to get dressed up and snap a few photos in front of this beautiful tree at our house.

I recently had a parenting fail that hit very hard - Christian asked me why his photos weren’t on the wall like everyone else’s. My heart sank. He just turned 4 and he was right, there were very little photos of him. Yes, life had become increasingly hard with 3 children, a wife, and a growing business, but I had failed him. So on the next rainy day, I got out the camera and made sure he felt special. He now has a prominent place on the gallery wall. Next step is placing a full family shot in the largest frame. And if there’s a lesson to learn, it’s that kids are very aware! /

School portraits! Why do all my kids’ school photos look NOTHING like them, void of their beautiful, fun, personalities?? I’ll tell you why - to get genuine smiles and laughs out of little kids, you need to be SILLY and you need TIME. I shot these school portraits over the course of 4 days spending anywhere from 5-10 minutes with each child. Parents received galleries with 5-40 images. I’m looking to add on a few more select schools so if your child comes home with something less than this, reach out to me and let’s talk about how I can provide these to your school!
