This data center "trend" is getting out of control! Placing them in small communities, areas with freshwater shortages, and now next to Zoos? Places where animals seek refuge and care? A place that provides educational resources? Are you serious?! Where does the line end?

Hello everyone and welcome!

My name is Rita. I’m a multidisciplinary writer and storyteller whose work lives at the intersection of language, imagery, and meaning. Whether I’m shaping a scene on the page or crafting a narrative for a nonprofit, I’m driven by the same instinct: to pay close attention and translate what I notice into something that resonates.

My creative practice spans authorship, editing, photography, and narrative development. I’m currently building my own body of written work — from adult romance to children’s stories — while also supporting mission‑driven organizations through grant writing, content creation, and clear, compelling communication. I believe stories can move people, open doors, and help communities access the resources they need to thrive.

With a professional and academic background in business, nonprofit management, and digital media, I approach writing with both artistry and strategy. I enjoy turning complex ideas into accessible language, highlighting the heart of a mission, and helping organizations articulate the impact they’re working toward.

I’m pursuing a BA in English and Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University and am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Photographic Society of America. Sorry for the lack of posting. I'm back in class and prepping for my final paper in Philosophy. To say learning the names of all the philosophers and their theories is keeping me on my toes is an understatement. I'm also trying to wiggle in some conservation writing into the assignments, which is a bit of a challenge, but completely worth it!

In the meantime, since the weather has been giving me Fall vibes, lately, here's a photograph I took last year nearing the end of the Autumn season. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning, everyone!

I photographed this beautiful red-tailed hawk in the northern woods area of Pennsylvania.

Did You Know…
Red-Tailed Hawks ((Buteo jamaicensis) are native to North America and one of the most observed hawks here in Tennessee. These hawks are partial migrant, which means some migrate to the south in the winter, while others remain in their habitat, like the northern states and Canada.

They have a wingspan up to 49” and can be up to 2 feet in length from head to tail, with the female, like many birds of prey, are larger than the males

Filmmakers often use the cry of these amazing birds to represent any hawk or eagle anywhere in the world.

While up to 90% of their diet consists of rodents, they do occasionally eat insects and fresh carcasses.

They generally lay up to 3 eggs, can up to 5 though rarely.

One thing that is amazing about traveling the roads of the south, is you're going to see a lot from "the good ole days." This picture was taken in what they call Amish Country in Ethridge, Tennessee.

When I last visited, there was a flea market -one that should be gearing up for the season -as well as tours and shops to buy Amish goods. If you don't want to visit the flea market, you can take the side roads off of Hwy 43 where the Amish have their farms and sell everything from handmade cedar furniture to fresh baked goods and fresh produce.

When traveling, there are many treasure to uncover; you only have to take the time to find them.
