Now that that is out of the way, hello everybody, I'm Jae! Get ready for a long one!
I wanted to tell everybody a little about myself! I just drove here about a year ago from Southern California (born and raised). I came here with my boyfriend with plans for a better, brighter future. I currently volunteer for an animal rescue / the shelter, and have a full time job, but also do photography on the side. It started as taking thousands of photos on my phone, then turned into me getting my first, real camera.
That's where my current camera came in. I fell in love, brought it everywhere with me. I was a total shut in when I was younger and photography has made me into somebody totally different. I talk to strangers all the time, asking for their picture. In theory doesn't seem that hard until you're face to face with someone with a giant camera, trying not to seem creepy lol.
I don't do it for the money (though it helps paying off this very expensive equipment!!), but capturing humanity. Capturing our community. Photography has been my passion for years- to be able to have tangible evidence of somebodies smiles, their maternity moments, their families, their loved ones. It brings me a true sense of purpose. If you decide to hire me as your photographer, I can guarantee that I will give you my soul into our shoots.
I spend day and night editing- the number of clients that have told me that they were genuinely surprised I got their photos done so quickly I couldn't count. It's because I love what I do, and every message, every inquiry, even if it doesn't get followed through or not, it inspires me for so much more. I improve and learn with every shoot, meet all new faces, hear new stories. This is what I do what I do.
I appreciate any consideration you have in letting me capture these special moments for you. I compare my prices all the time to photographers near me to make my services as affordable and reasonable as possible. ***I also offer FREE end of life photography, both human and pet.*** I take tips for all the free shoots I do, but for these, there will NEVER be a base cost. As long as it's a reasonable drive I will come to you.
Any support received is so, so deeply appreciated. Every review will push me towards more exposure, to show my trustworthiness and work ethic. I am a small business, so even the smallest tip, a dollar, 5 dollars, it goes towards me being able to get better equipment, paying off current equipment, and helps a struggling young photographer try and do more. I don't make much money off of doing this (I give away free / discounted shoots a lot, keep prices very low despite travel costs, the hours I spend editing, etc) so any help, tip, or even just a review, can truly make a difference in my career.
