A little note from me,
I really hope someday everyone will see the job of a photographer the way that I do!!
To some people, it’s just taking pictures. Something you do on the side. Something that isn’t a “real job” or something you could actually build a life from.
But to me… it’s so much more than that.
Photography has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved being behind a camera and taking photos of my family just for fun.🙃
I started Makenzy Raine Photography because I had a dream. A dream that I could wake up every day and do something I genuinely love. A dream that I could create something of my own, meet people, hear their stories, make them feel beautiful and comfortable, and capture the moments that they’ll never get back. 🤍
And honestly, this journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been so many moments where I’ve doubted myself. Moments where I’ve compared myself to other photographers and wondered if I’m good enough. Moments where I’ve heard people question whether photography could really be a career.
But every time someone trusts me to capture their family, their graduation, their engagement, their love, or even just a chapter of their life… I’m reminded of why I started. 🫶🏼🤗
I get to turn moments into memories. I get to give people pictures that they will look back on years from now and remember exactly how they felt in that moment.
Yes of course I am still building. I’m still learning. I’m still figuring things out. I don’t have everything perfectly figured out yet. But I know one thing for sure…
I love my camera.
I love my clients.
I love creating.
I love watching this career of mine grow.
And I love the person I’m becoming because of it. I am no longer afraid of being in charge, I can talk to people without getting SO nervous. I have changed so much since starting this business!!📸🤍
Maybe some people don’t believe photography can be a full-time career. Maybe they don’t understand why I put so much time, energy, money, and heart into it.
But I do.
And I’m going to keep working until the dream that started as “I hope I can do this someday” becomes “I get to do this every single day.” 🤩🥳
To everyone who has booked with me, supported me, shared my work, recommended me, encouraged me, or simply believed in me—thank you. You’re not just supporting a business. You’re helping me build the career I’ve dreamed about. And I will never take that for granted. 🤍
I may not be where I want to be yet, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. And I’m not giving up on this dream of mine. 🫶🏼📸✨
