Making something special at Tempo Nashville for producer Tim Romero and musician Javier Solis yesterday. Despite the rain and allergy attacks, we managed to film a great interview and live music session with the incomparable Rachael Lampa and a live music audience, with two distinct lighting universes and 5 total cameras, all in 9.5 hours with a two-man crew. Exhausting, but absolutely glorious. I'm very happy with the results and can't wait to see the finished product. If I missed anyone or you want to be tagged, drop me a message!

Filmed a music video for Lindsey Entertainment on Tuesday at Pyramid in Nashville. My Komodo X rig killed it like always. Bonus: Dicey's (never heard of them) makes some of the yummiest pizza I've ever tried. The Peppy Boy has hot honey which hits different when you're labouring like you do on a set.

Filming for the this weekend in Nashville and Mt. Juliet with a small-but-fierce team that absolutely killed it. Thanks to Rena and Peter for the invite and for assembling such a great team. Another film race competition, this time we have 9 days to complete a 5-minute short film from scratch. The short film is being edited now and I'm looking forward to tackling the grade as soon as they reach picture lock.

My January 2026 became quite full. TL;DR: I worked on Cody Ottinger's feature "A Great All American Slasher Film" on weekends as his DP when I got sick and Winter Storm Fern hit.

One week my van got a flat tire because the wheel itself cracked and it was an adventure airing up the tire every 10 minutes to limp the van home and hopefully get it all repaired in time to go back to Cody's set. At that point I was sick and had to cancel. The next weekend, Fern hit, and I was so sick it didn’t matter anyway. I finally admitted myself to the hospital and wound up needing surgery. Now, I'm on the mend and feeling 1000% better, I got my US Passport with plenty of time to spare till my cruise, and because now I'm diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic I'm trying to eat a lot healthier.

A loaded start to the new year, but I'm doing great thanks to Natasha taking care of me! Looking forward to the film race at the end of February.

Filming an entire movie in just one day is kinda crazy, but I'm no stranger to it. The quick and dirty production for the emotional short film "All She Wrote" assured this past Saturday was a very long and productive day with some creative and awesome people. This is going to be a good film.

Some of my favorite setups were the drama scenes near the big window where wrap around lighting is always beautiful, figuring out the peephole POV shots, and the mailbox sequence. There's some more good stuff we did, but I don't want to give anything away.

Shot on KOMODO-X + Z–PL Speed Booster + SLR Magic APO HyperPrimes and Sirui Jupiter 28-85mm lenses. Had to move quick so I only used one grip light — a Nanlite Pavoslim 240C — mixed with sun and practicals.

I might be the only person in North America who owns one of these. A PL—Z mount T CINE SPEED booster ULTRA 0.71x. My KOMODO-X Z shall now visually behave like a mini RAPTOR XE. 😎🔥
