Mariana Souza Photography Brazilian photographer eternalizing moments around the world. I got my first camera when I was 9 and I’ve been always holding a camera ever since.

I used to skip school so I could go downtown photograph people, buildings, and everything in between. I moved from Brazil a few years ago, studied photography at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and now I am back in Nashville. My passion for portraiture always walked side by side with my fine art work. I like to include conceptual ideas to my shoots, always allowing the model to create

with me during our session. Every photoshoot for me is like meeting a new friend, where we can talk, hang out and create work together. Another passion of mine is music, I’ve been going to shows even before I was born (my mom was 7 months pregnant when we got to see the Beastie Boys). I’ve been doing music photography for a while now, shooting for online publications like Reflektor Magazine and Concert Updater. Every show is a new experience, and being able to see the crowd rocking out gives me a new kind of adrenaline I never felt before. My fine art work is based on my experience adapting to a new culture, an immigrant navigating through the discoveries of a new country. I love being able to create work in different areas of photography and I hope I can create with you soon!
