When I was a little girl, I dreamed of being an artist.
Creativity ran through my family, and I loved getting lost in art, writing, drawing, creating, imagining a life where I could make something meaningful with my heart, hands, and mind. As my Mother once said about herself, “I could make something out of a wisp of a feather floating by in the air”…I inherited her creative essence.
As I got older, that dream felt less realistic. Society told me being an artist wasn’t practical. I learned to bury my creativity. How silly it seemed to be so vulnerable. How impractical it was to create, I mean you weren’t actually “doing” anything, right?…So I leaned into my next favorite thing: people. I studied psychology, earned my degree, and spent my college and post college years working with women and teens, listening to their stories, supporting them, and learning who they were becoming by helping them create a path. I was honored with an award from my university for outstanding community service, and it felt like proof that I had found a respectable, meaningful profession I could truly make a living from.
But as time went on, my dreams kept growing. I wanted a family of my own. I wanted flexibility. I wanted a life that felt more aligned with who I was, not just what made sense on paper.
I never imagined I’d get to combine it all…
the art, the love of people, the heart for this age, and the joy of connection.
I never imagined I’d become both an artist and a business owner doing what I love, serving seniors during such a meaningful season of their lives, and creating something that feels deeply personal and purposeful.
To the little girl who dreamed, to the version of me who doubted, and to every senior who trusts me to tell their story, this is proof that your path doesn’t have to be linear to be beautiful 🤍 I am grateful for each and every one of you! Your stories, your spirit, and your dreams are just about to unfold and to be a tiny part of it is a dream come true for me. Cheers to this being your biggest brightest year to shine! HAPPY 2026!
