We were approaching the sound barrier on this one… top speed of nearly 170 mph! 😂✈️

I had a nice little hop from Fremont to Muskegon for some ground schooling this evening!
Being called a “Delta dodger apparently got to me 😆✈️

Although way more complicated to land at a towered airport, instead of my non towered one, it is good practice and not that bad once you know what to expect and the flow of how things go.

We made it and are back home in one piece!

Today’s task was to figure out the old century 1 auto pilot after reading the manual, and it honestly works pretty decent now that I know what the buttons do! 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

My archeologist fiancée discovered “Moxie the mastodon” in Muskegon, Michigan, outside of the “museum of history and sciences”, so we HAD to go! 🤓

Ashley has actually helped excavate one that was discovered here in Michigan!

It’s a cute little museum with lots of logging history as well, since this area had so many sawmills on Muskegon Lake. Have you been here? 😀🪵

The feeling of leaning around a corner on a motorcycle is nearly identical to turning or banking in an airplane, and it might be one of the reasons I love riding motorcycles so much (besides the speed) 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

Despite multiple equipment malfunctions yesterday while shipwreck hunting, I always get excited at seeing the Badger car ferry…BUT this is the first time seeing it under way, at full steam, out on the open lake!

The Badger is a 410’ long passenger and car ferry from Ludington, Michigan to Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

It is the LAST remaining coal burning ship on the Great Lakes.

It’s actually a national historic landmark!

Out searching for shipwrecks in that deep water with the big boys 😎⚓️

That’s the Walter J McCarthy Jr that just passed off my starboard!

I had a bit of excitement earlier when I thought I had a shipwreck, but it ended up being too long and skinny, so I will mark that as bottom contour, but can check it out later with the ROV if I feel like it.

The sun is shining, but it’s actually pretty cold out here 🥶 water temperature is 48° still!
