What an amazing day!!! So many blessings today… and I am so grateful and excited! There are big changes on the horizon, and I almost can’t stand not sharing the news with all my followers. But… more about that later.

Today I made some huge updates to my primary website. I was tired of telling people to go to 2 different websites, depending on what type of services they needed from me. So I’ve spent the last few weekends reformatting hundreds of images to fit the layout of my photography website. Now, almost all of my Graphic Design portfolio is on heatherhiller.com! Finally! If you didn’t know I’m also a designer, please go over to the site and check out some of the work on the various pages. There will be a number of updates to the Publishing page, but I’m still converting dozens of publications from Quark to InDesign… BIG headache, LOL!

MODEL CALL!!!

I’m looking for an “angel” (don’t care about age) for a VERY special project I’m working on!

Required: VERY adventurous… willing to be brave and take a leap!

Required: Courageous… I don’t know how big this project will get… so be willing to grow with the project!

Not a paid project… this is one of my “special projects”… but who knows… 😁 This will be a TFP project!

If you haven’t discovered The Village Baker yet, please make the time to go to Muncy and and pay the shop a visit! Delicious pastries have always been a fondness of mine and I’m grateful there’s a shop like this local to me! In addition to the delicacies in the pastry cases… the shop also displays a number of items crafted by local artists… a perfect place to get sweet treats AND maybe do some gift shopping!

Last year, this month, we moved back to Lycoming County, PA. When we did this, our new place didn’t lend itself well to having a studio right away. Well, sooner than anticipated… I have started working on my new studio!!! I’m very excited with the progress and I’ve already booked a few shoots!!! New material to come soon! And once I’ve worked the kinks out, I’ll start accepting new clients!!! At the new studio, I’m going to specialize on fantasy couture, bo***ir, creative portraits, and equine portraits. So get ready to be wowed!!!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve had anything worth posting. I’ve been shooting… lightly. But with moving back to Lycoming County, every free moment has been in getting our newest place squared away. I still don’t have a studio planned… but I’m going back to my roots… “location shoots”. The past year has been a little tumultuous… I spent a few months working my dream job as a lead photographer for a global archery company (but the four hour commute was a killer), then we sold our home so fast… I didn’t have time to psychologically “say goodbye”… so I’ve been mourning our home and my dream studio. Our new house leaves much to be desired (it’s over 150 years old) but it does have a really cool small pond that I’m turning into a Japanese garden “set”. I’m looking forward to loads of water shots for my models… tons of great ideas on my head right now. Today… we broke away from almost non-stop landscaping and home-improvements to go “prop hunting”! Yes… we spent some time scouting classic vehicles to use in a couple large projects I’m storyboarding in my idea book. Thought I’d share some of the images I captured w my cell. With any luck… maybe we’ll see one of two of these beauties with some of my models in the next few months. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!!!

I’ve been pretty quiet for a while… and here’s why. For the past few months I’ve been working for a really cool company in Lancaster County: Lancaster Archery Supply! I’ve been their “in-studio photographer”, busy photographing loads of bows and assorted gear, as well as the portraits of all the LAS Pro Shop Techs. I can’t even begin to figure out how to describe the work atmosphere!!! The best I can do is… WOW!!! I will forever treasure the time I was able to spend working alongside such talented and dedicated, compassionate and friendly, knowledgeable and professional individuals! We were planning on moving down into the Lancaster area… and then plans changed. God’s will! We are still moving! However, we are moving BACK to Lycoming County. God graced us with his blessing and we should be closing on a new farm October 7th. My studio, a place I put a lifetime of dreams into, will be packed up and redefined at our new location in the year to come. Until I create the new studio… I’ll be getting back to my roots and shooting EVERYTHING on-location! What we can look forward to, once I have my studio built… a beautiful pond (which I will be turning into a Japanese water garden w koi), stunning views, woodlands that I’ll create romantic spots within, some quite unique outdoor features which should make creative shoots incredibly fun, and eventually a brand new indoor studio for all our “formal” style shoots. I’m sad… but excited! I’m looking forward to being closer to a couple of my models and meeting new clients and models in the coming months!!! So please hang with me a bit longer… I’m not gone… just growing!!!

Some days you wake up and you absolutely MUST rework a couple images from previous shoots. This image was one of the pieces I had to re-develop today. I'm still not 100% in love with it... but it feels closer to what my mind has painted for me than previous iterations. Thank you to my lovely models A. & A. Chase!
