They were supposed to be in Hawaii.
Instead, they found themselves on the Isle of Palms — beneath one of those unforgettable Charleston sunsets that makes you wonder if a change of plans was exactly what was meant to happen.
The Brown family’s Hawaiian getaway took an unexpected turn at the last minute, bringing them here for an evening that couldn’t have been more beautifully timed. Golden coastal light, a sky painted in the most gorgeous colors, and then, almost as a final flourish, a delicate rainbow appearing between two clouds.
And in the middle of it all was their sweet little girl — the apple of everyone’s eye, completely adored by every member of her family.
What started as a last-minute change became something entirely its own: an evening of generations together, genuine connection, and the kind of photographs that preserve not only how a family looked, but how it felt to be surrounded by the people you love most.
Perhaps Hawaii was the original plan. But this evening on the Isle of Palms felt pretty close to perfect. ✨
