Here's how proof galleries work:
1. Unedited photos will be posted to the event album.
2. Decide which ones are your favorites and which ones you chose to purchase.
3. Once you purchase them, they get sent to me for editing!
4. I edit your chosen photos and then email them directly to you!

People see a $450 photoshoot and think photographers are taking home $450 in profit… and I promise that’s not reality 🥹

What most people don’t see is everything that goes on behind the scenes of running a photography business.

A session payment doesn’t just go into my pocket. It goes toward:
✨ taxes
✨ gallery delivery + website fees
✨ editing software subscriptions
✨ SD cards + hard drives
✨ camera bodies + lenses
✨ props + setups
✨ gas/travel
✨ insurance
✨ advertising
✨ continuing education
✨ equipment maintenance/upgrades

And then there’s the biggest thing of all … time.

The actual session is only a tiny portion of the job. There’s hours spent planning, communicating, culling galleries, hand editing images, delivering galleries, bookkeeping, answering messages/emails, ordering props, cleaning the studio, and so much more that nobody really sees.

Photography is so much more than “just taking pictures.” It’s a full business, a creative service, and honestly a huge labor of love. 🤍

I completely understand that professional photography isn’t in everyone’s budget, and that’s okay! But I’ll always be thankful for the clients who value the work, time, and heart that goes into creating these memories. 🫶

I had a blast photographing some of the classes at the All American Youth Horse Show. Thank you to those that reached out to me to take photos especially in the Cooper arena. That lighting is brutal as some have said, but we made it work so that some of the littles could enjoy their memories too :)
