Holidays are here!
My siblings and I were blessed with loving parents who always made us feel special, but Christmas was over the top with love and togetherness.
Our very round, full, tall tree came into the house just a few days before Christmas. Dad would saw off the tree base to have it perfectly straight. His job was always placing the lights, often while singing, then we got to hang the "balls" as Dad and Mom supervised. Followed by silver "icicles" that were carefully placed. For those not of my age bracket, these were very thin, 18" long strands of foil draped over each limb. I still hear Dad telling me " one at a time, kid".
Missing them always, more at Christmas.
These memories have prompted the exhibit I will be displaying at the Arise Cafe in Wellsboro, Pa for the Grand Canyon Photography Club in December.
If you are interested in any print contact me for info and please
stop by while you are at Dickens Day, Saturday, December 6th.
