Meet Estelle AKA Stella.
Stella is a German Shepherd and 100% Velcro dog. She is 1 year and 3 months old.
Behind that big girl bark is the sweetest girl that makes everyone smile! Certified bodyguard, drama queen, treat eater, helper of tasks that require zero dogs, and professional ball lover and toy squeaker, Stella loves everyone she meets and once you
are part of her “people,” you’ll have a personal es**rt everywhere you go, including the bathroom (what’s personal space again?).
Stella’s secret weapon to getting what she wants is if Stella wants to play, she’ll get her toy and squeak it non-stop and nudge you with it until you finally give in and play with her.
One quirky fact about Stella is no matter what kind of chew or treat you give her, she will immediately hide it. She will sometimes spend 30 min running all through the house trying to find the perfect hiding spot. She has come to me whining because she cannot find a good spot and I must walk around with her suggesting hiding spots (she never likes my ideas). It’s always fun to crawl into bed at night and find a chewy under your pillow!
Stella’s theme song would have to be a mashup of The Police “Every Breath You Take” and Cyndi Lauper “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” although Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” is
probably the theme song of our house at all times!
A favorite memory:
Stella absolutely loves the snow and would stay outside in the freezing cold playing
completely unbothered. Winter was supposed to be over this year, but we got one more late snowfall. I had already let Stella out for the last time, but then it started snowing really hard. Even though she was sleeping, once it was deep enough and still snowing
hard, I woke her up. When I opened the door and she saw all the snow, she immediately ran out and started doing zoomies in the yard, rolling around, and eating snow and we played for quite a while. Just seeing your dog having moments of pure joy is the best!
