Oh, Hi... I'm Ashley... I figured after 6 years of turning this feral little hobby of mine into a real thing, I should probably introduce myself.
These pics were captured last November when we took our annual "Christmas Vacation" instead of buying gifts... my kids got old and well, making core memories is a need not a want. Anywhoooo.... these pics are so funny to me simply because they are exactly who I am... the girl running around BEHIND the camera at all times trying to freeze all the pretty moments and things just for a second. I couldn't love them more.
I'm not the photographer who tells you to "tilt your chin 23 degrees and relax your face" could never be me. Instead I am the one yelling wait do that again that was so good while sprinting across a field cause the light got good. I will fix your hair, straighten the necklace, hype you up, make the kids laugh, and prolly trip over something in the process because I have an innate need to be at some weird angle or higher than you at all times and well... being 5'5 isn't all that great. I'll be the one to find the pile of animal doo in a field that I told you to watch out for or walk into the spider web as we wander down the trail through the woods, its okay I got you girl!
I like real. I like raw. I like love. I like the stuff that gets captured because you weren't paying attention to me or forgot for a second that the camera was even there. kids being unhinged. couples actually laughing instead of giving me fake soft smiles. I want your photos to look like you, not like you were hating your life for an entire hour.
I thrive in chaos, no like it literally fuels me. I know as feral as it sounds it's real. I am a mom of three grownish kiddos, 21, 18 and 15. there isn't much that scares me anymore hehe. crazy as this sounds I am an introvert, with ADHD, who thrives off messy, chaotic, and joyful moments.
