I love when my clients become so much more than clients.

Back in 2022, I met this sweet family, and over the years I've had the incredible privilege of watching their babies grow, their family grow, and their story unfold season after season. What started as a client relationship quickly turned into a friendship that I cherish deeply.

Need proof of how amazing Miss Charity is? When I was planning a surprise proposal, she loaded up all four kiddos, gave them some picnic fun, and went location scouting for me. We FaceTimed from the top of a mountain while she helped me find the perfect spot and bring the vision to life. Thanks to her, I was able to capture one of the most beautiful surprise proposals I've ever had the honor of photographing.

The best part? She never asked for recognition. She simply showed up with a servant's heart, ready to help.

I thought I was becoming a photographer...

What I didn't realize was that I'd become part of so many people's stories.

Sometimes I sit back and think about how incredibly lucky I am to do what I do.

People see the finished gallery—the beautiful images, the smiles, the milestones.

But what they don't always see is everything that happens in between.

I have the privilege of meeting strangers who somehow become lifelong friends.

I get a front-row seat to some of the most meaningful moments in your lives. I help plan surprise proposals, photograph weddings and celebrate growing families.

Before I know it, I'm welcoming that tiny newborn alongside you, then watching them grow into toddlers, big siblings, and beautiful families with stories all their own.

I celebrate with you more than you'll ever know.

And when life isn't celebrating, I grieve with you too.

I've sat beside nervous brides on wedding mornings, shared quiet moments before they walk toward the love of their life, and watched parents carry the weight of a thousand responsibilities while still making their children feel like the center of their world.

I see your heart.

I see couples exchange that look—the one that says, "It's always been you."

I watch women become mothers, not just bringing new life into the world, but becoming a new version of themselves.

Stronger.
Softer.
Different.
Beautiful.

Sometimes I'm one of the first people you tell when you're expecting.

Sometimes I'm one of the people you call when your heart is broken.

Every single time, I consider it an honor.

When a client leaves a review, they're not just leaving a few kind words...
They're helping a mom take another booking.
They're helping a family preserve their memories.
They're helping a dream continue to grow.

Before many clients ever reach out, they read reviews. They aren't just looking at photos—they're looking for reassurance. They're wondering if they'll feel comfortable in front of the camera. This photo tells three different stories.

The smile.
The silliness.
The straight face.

And somehow, that feels a lot like life.

I didn’t fully know what I wanted this image to say when we took it. I just had this feeling in my chest… this vision I couldn’t quite put into words yet. So shoutout to my sweet friend Kristie for trusting me enough to help bring it to life. 🩵

But the second I sat down to edit this photo, it all clicked together perfectly like pieces of a puzzle finally finding where they belonged.

Because behind every expression is something deeper.

The loudest laughter can hide exhaustion.
The straight face can hide pain.
The happiest people are sometimes carrying the heaviest things.

And that’s why kindness matters so much.

To children.
To strangers.
To the tired mom in the grocery store.
To the friend who says they’re “fine.”
To the person sitting alone.
To every single person fighting battles we cannot see.

Life is already hard enough.

Be softer with people.
Give the smile.
Lend the ear.
Offer grace first.
Do the extra step.

There is enough cruelty in this world already. Let people leave your presence feeling lighter, safer, and loved.
