Lone Star Trail Photography by Pennie Stanley

Lone Star Trail Photography by Pennie Stanley Born from quiet hikes down Texas trails, Lone Star Trail Photography is my way of sharing the journey through a camera lens.

Through Scripture-centered devotionals, each trail, sky, and landscape becomes a place of encouragement.

I've spent a lot of time asking God for direction.

Lately, I've been asking to show me what He’s already doing.

Curiosity helps me notice the journey. Faith trusts Him with the destination.

Sometimes the most comforting truth isn’t that we see God clearly.

It’s that He sees us.

“You are the God who sees me.” — Genesis 16:13

He is not rushed.
He is not distracted.
He is not overwhelmed by our repetition
or our need.

He welcomes it.

Some seasons feel heavy with uncertainty.

Even in uncertain seasons, guidance remains.
Faith is simply remembering to look to the light.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

Not everything that grows is planted in perfect places.

Some things push up through the side of the road…
unseen, unplanned, and still full of life.

God doesn’t wait for ideal conditions.
He brings growth right into the middle of where you are.

“The Lord will guide you continually… and you shall be like a watered garden.”
— Isaiah 58:11

If you’re in a place that doesn’t feel ideal…
maybe it’s not the end of growth.
Maybe it’s where it starts.

Before sunflowers ever bloom, they grow deep roots. In the same way, God uses hard seasons to strengthen our faith, teaching us to trust Him more than before.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬-‭

Even the most delicate blooms fade with time, but God’s truth remains steady through every season. 🌿

“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:8
