3 great places for a marriage proposal in Highlands, NC . ❤️ Sunset rock is a beautiful spot overlooking the town of Highlands. It’s a very easy hike to the top with a great view. ❤️ The Bascom is a nice area with a small walking trail for some private talks amongst the trees . Plus you can see some beautiful art inside the Bascom.
❤️Satulah mountain is for the people who love a longer hike. With breathtaking views from the top it will be a place to make a memorable experience but not be a quick trip. This proposal session I was hiding on a bedroom balcony 😆 ! This was a very well thought out plan . The hopeful groom to be and parents of the bride collaborated while the fiancée to be was out of town . I met up with them to make sure everything was going to work out . We went to different locations in to find the perfect spot , but we came back to their home because that view was just too beautiful to not be the spot . A couple of weeks later and I was snuck into the bedroom to wait for the moment ! It was so much fun ! I love being in on the whole secret. She was so surprised and so excited! She couldn’t believe how much he had done without her finding out. These sessions become part of their engagement 💍 story and I love capturing and being apart of them . 📷.

One of the BEST parts of being a photographer in the blue ridge mountains has to be the proposal sessions. It is so much fun to be in on the secret and hide in the bushes or on a balcony. I will be posting some of the 2025 proposals that were fun to be apart of. Today was a sweet proposal at the Bascom art center in Highlands,North Carolina. They have a beautiful backdrop for a secluded and romantic setting.
