Have you ever wondered why a newborn photo session can’t be quick and is usually 3-4 hours?!

People often think a newborn session is something fast and easy.
But newborns are all completely different and in some ways the same. They eat, they wake up, they need to feel warm and safe, and sometimes they just need to stay in your arms a little longer.
During my sessions, I follow the baby. With a baby led session,
We pause, we wait, we move slowly. Some babies do not like certain positions and they will let me know.
One photo can take time to just settle the baby, and that time is part of the process.
When a baby feels calm, everything else will fall into place. It just may take more time for some. As always though, Safety is always top of my list!

Wishing all my clients a heartfelt Mother's Day. I know this day can hold many different emotions and memories. For some it's filled with little hands and celebration, teens and grown adults. For others, it may carry grief, longing or complicated relationships. Where ever your heart is today, I'm thinking of you!
Thank you for allowing me to capture pieces of your lives and the memories that mean the most! Hopefully these photographs will always be a reminder of love through every season!
