I seriously cannot put into words how much I LOVE the photography community. 🥹📸

The night before I had a wedding to photograph, my son became incredibly sick high fever, chills, headache, throwing up, and just completely exhausted. As a mom, my babies will always come first, but as a photographer, I also had a bride counting on me for one of the most important days of her life. I felt absolutely terrible being put in that position.

So I reached out to other photographers… and the amount of people who immediately offered to help honestly blew me away. 🥹
Blue Shutters Photography stepped RIGHT up to the plate, even with a busy personal week ahead of her. No hesitation just kindness and a willingness to help.

And of course the amazing Kayla from Lone Roan Photography (who I also share a business with) who I originally was going with, completely understood the situation and was excited to take on the role even if it was alone.

THIS is why I will forever say there is room for ALL of us in photography.

There is literally no competition in my eyes. We can have different styles, different prices, different editing, different businesses and different goals and still cheer each other on.

Every photographer I’ve had the privilege of meeting has wanted to help, encourage, teach, support, and see other photographers succeed. And when life happens, this community SHOWS UP!!!!

At the end of the day, we’re all just people behind the cameras. We’re moms, wives, friends, business owners, and humans with real lives happening outside of our galleries and sessions.
I’m just incredibly grateful that when I needed help, I had an entire community willing to say, “I’ve got you.” 🥹🤍
I love this career.
I love this community.
And I’m so thankful for the photographers who reminded me this weekend exactly why. 📸🫶🏼

A little life + business update from A & E Photography 🤍📸

This year is a BIG year for our family because I’m officially starting my first year homeschooling my son! 🥹 Between being a mom, homeschooling, running a household, photographing all of your beautiful families, sessions + weddings, editing galleries, and keeping up with messages… I’m learning how to balance a whole new routine.

With that being said, my response times may look a little different moving forward.

My goal is to have dedicated client communication hours from 9:00–11:00 AM and 7:00–8:00 PM. I may absolutely respond outside of those hours when I have the chance, but those will be the times I’m intentionally sitting down and working through inquiries, booking messages, questions, and everything else behind the scenes.

And speaking of inquiries… the amount of messages and bookings I have received over the last month has been BEYOND overwhelming in the absolute best way possible. 😭

Every time you book a session, inquire about photos, share my work, recommend me to a friend, tag my business, or come back for another year of pictures, you are supporting my family and allowing me to continue doing something I genuinely love.

I’m one person behind A & E Photography, and I’m also a mama who is trying to be intentional about giving my children the time and attention they deserve especially as we begin this new homeschooling chapter.

So please bear with me as we settle into our new routine! 🤍 If I don’t respond immediately, I promise I’m not ignoring you. I’m most likely teaching, momming, photographing, editing, or working my way through my messages.

Thank you SO much for keeping me this busy. Seriously. Seeing how much A & E Photography has grown is something I’ll never stop being grateful for.

Here’s to a busy photography season, our first homeschool year, and figuring out this beautiful chaos one day at a time. 🤎📚📸
