Hello followers….
I have changed my facebook name page from Hintage Heirloom Photography to Hintage Heirloom Bakehouse.
I’ve always had this strong desire to have my very own bakery. It’s been on the back of my mind for YEARS and so many of you told me to just go for it. I’ve struggled all my life with not having much confidence in myself, I always felt like I was never good enough in all aspects of my life. I know my baked goods are really good, but I never thought they were good enough to be on a shelf at a high end bakery or farmer’s market. I’m my worst enemy and my biggest critic and I think a lot of us can relate to that feeling with our own selves. But, you all don’t stop with the compliments and the encouragement and for that I’m grateful. It literally means the world to me.
Since starting my sourdough journey 15 months ago, the desire of wanting my own bakery has grown so deep and I have decided to just go for it because it’s a feeling that just doesn’t go away no matter how many years have passed. The time is now or never and I’m ready to dive in full force.
With that said, my goal with my bakery is to bring fresh homemade baked goods to our small community. To share my love of baking with you all.
We will be building and designing a roadside self serve vintage inspired bakery stand that’ll include fresh sourdough breads, regular breads, homemade baked goods such as cookies, cakes, muffins, homemade dog treats/dog birthday cakes, and more following the cottage law requirements for our state/county. This will be a micro bakery set up, so it’ll be a select variety of baked goods with items changing and rotating each day I’m open.
As of right now, my goal is to have the stand open to the public 2-3 days a week. The stand will be placed at the end of our driveway, so all you have to do is drive up, make your purchase, and leave. We are keeping it super simple. It will be a self serve stand (honor system in place). On the nicer days, we plan to have furniture/vintage items available for purchase as well along with fresh garden produce/flowers from my parent’s garden.
I’m so excited to finally make this long desire dream of mine a reality and I hope this is something our community will enjoy as well.
Thank you all for the encouragement and support because without you, none of this would even be possible.
