Did you know national photography day was yesterday? 📸 This photo was taken as apart of my still life image assignment for Lighting II back in college. For my student choice, I paired old family Polaroids alongside the land camera to demonstrate this is a similar tool that was used to capture these memories over half a century ago.

Photography has always played an important role in my life. This is a special way to look back and commemorate what once was while honoring the history and art of taking pictures.

Today is the lovely Cat’s birthday, this was last year celebrating while watching the premiere of our Asheville 48 hour film project! I took part in the poster design and being script supervisor. She was the writer, producer, co-director and an actress. Honestly, what can she not do? Happy birthday and happy one year on Table for One! Guess you could say I’ve been focused lately… 🎥

Throwing it back to Remnants of Ash from last December, where I had the opportunity to serve as 1st AC and pull focus from the first shot to the final wrap. Safe to say I spent most of the shoot staring at a monitor and a focus wheel. Loved every minute of it working with this talented crew in the mountains! 🏔️
