Okay guys - quick story time. - I definitely felt trapped by feeling most confident in shooting golden hour. Sharing only images with perfect golden light limited the time I could shoot AND the weather. Also - it no longer felt like honest storytelling when it felt like the conditions had to be “perfect”. I had seen other photographers shoot harsh light and wanted that for myself, and my families. Because hello - we still are living our lives beyond golden hour. So I dug in and learned all the ins and outs of shooting other times a day - even the more challenging higher sun times! So I’m here to share all my tips and knowledge from the many trials and errors I’ve had (and still do!) to find out I LOVE SHOOTING a variety of lighting - especially some harsh light!
