There is something about that third baby…
No more peaceful pregnancy for you. There’s an anticipation of being outnumbered, of baby falling asleep in random places in the house (instead of their sweet little bassinet…if you even have one anymore!!), and you no longer fear bumps and bruises and sicknesses.
This one better be resilient, you say. You hope and pray that they’re chill and happy.
And if they’re a girl, was two older brothers, you also hope that she will hold her own ;)

Congrats, you guys!!! Cant wait to meet her soon!! 🥰❤️🥰

Fun fact about boys and rough-and-tumble play…

when I was studying child development, having grown up in a family of girls, I never understood why boys could be so rough. I learned from my classes that boys need that contact and touch, because that only doesn’t build their muscle development, but it’s actually one way that they show affection. It gives them that physical contact in a way that they’re active bodies can also receive oxytocin from. 💛

So, if your son headbutts you today, or tries jump on top of you, he’s basically giving you a hug ;)

I don’t know if I’ve ever said this, but toddlers are my favorite. 😂 they are so crazy, and equally as sweet. its the best!!!! Do they make newborn sessions difficult? No. They just add their magic sprinkles, we change all our carefully laid out plans, and we get some pretty amazing pictures. 😂

But seriously, as a mom, myself, who had to wait YEARS for our kids to get here, I know how amazing and beautiful this time of your life is. For us, the transition was huge. We had no idea what we were getting into, but we were so ready. I wish I would’ve had someone there to offer support and guidance along the way. And, with all the work we had to put into it, I wish we would have done better at recording things. But we were so tired!! and before we knew it, everything was a distant memory.
so I offer services now to anyone out there who sees the value in all of this :)
