“Mom can we go for a walk?”
I thought it would be fun to document this little ritual we have created…
I thought to myself “Well, they have kind of funky outfits on… should I still take the pictures?” That thought right there really solidified that this is what we need to be doing more of. Capturing our families as they are, not how we want everyone else to perceive them. Why are we putting on a show?
To me, this really sums up my kids. The unicorn helmet and shirt with the basketball shorts…the muck boots and shorts…very on brand for my kids. No dressing up. No pretending. Just our real life. Everything I will miss years from now. We need more of this. More real. We are all craving it.
