I'm just loving on these soon-to-be big siblings lately - we're always thinking about your growing belly and how the little baby's growth is doing but these sweet bigger kiddos are doing so much inner growth too 🥹 stretching themselves to be the brother or sister they need to be

Practicing some still life images (thanks to the lovely for the push) has been a really calm and intentional hour within an incredibly full month of learning, growing, loving, working.
I know this isn't my usual work to post, but I've been hesitant to share client images lately - and I really missed y'all 🫶🏻 I hope your worlds are exploding in the newness of spring and you are able to see all of the beauty around you and within you.

I’m interested in what happens when someone is really met.
Rope just makes it easier to see.
The body answers.
It softens, or resists, or shifts around it.
It’s a conversation between the one tying, the one being held, and myself - mirroring the story back.
I’m watching for the moment it becomes something real.
I recognize that moment.
I’ve seen it in birth. In early mothering.
When something surfaces and stays for a second.
A study in tension and texture.
On view next week, First Friday at .books

Just hands.
Just light.

Details are how I learned to capture everything.
Not the whole face. Not the whole body.
But the crease at the wrist. The soft weight of a thigh. The way a nose presses in nursing.
These are the parts that disappear first.
And the ones your body remembers longest.
If you’re in this season, tired, tender, wrapped in the cocoon of your home, unsure how fast it’s moving, you’re not behind.
This is enough.
And it’s worth remembering.

It's not every day you get to celebrate your first year of motherhood in a snow storm 😍 what an absolute queen.

Theres a rhythm to this season - wind through the grass, our children laughing into the cold.
Were all just standing steady in the changing air.

My favorite time of year.
