And here I was just hoping to score the minimum 70% needed to pass.

I'd been studying for the FAA 107 Exam (for drone pilots) off and on since February, always assuming I'd "surely" be ready to take the exam "within the next few weeks"...but this year has been the absolute busiest I've been, and so it just kept getting kicked down the road as I dealt with more immediate projects and obligations.

Then a couple of weeks ago I finally decided to just go ahead and schedule the exam and trust that I'd put in the time studying more intensely as it got closer. (EDIT: this was an in person exam, NOT an online one you can use notes on.) Which is exactly what happened. Sometimes you just have to put yourself in a situation that forces you to push yourself in order to succeed. But 97% was NOT my expectation when I would have been happy to just scrape by at 70%.

So once I get my temporary certificate in the mail, I will (finally) be a licensed drone pilot able to fly drones commercially (ie, for money).

I hope everyone has enjoyed all the PURPLE JAM 8: A Decade Without Prince pics I've shared over the past few days. As I mentioned before, you can order prints, digital files minus my watermark, and various other print items from my smugmug link (I'll repost that in the comments).

I love taking live photos; it's a lot of fun and I enjoy meeting everyone and making friends through it. I do put a lot of time into editing all of the photos before I share, from enhancing the color to using plugins for removing blemishes from people's faces and all that.
