Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours this holiday season. I'm thankful for many things this year; my loving wife, my dog Oliver, friends and family, a great hunting season, and most importantly of all-the grace of God through the matchless name of Jesus. He picks up the slack where I fall short every-single-time, and he is the real deal.

This is a moose that I found in our neighbor's corn field about two miles from where I grew up. The encounter was fairly brief because he did not want me to be there. I did get some footage of him that I may post. He is one of four or five bulls in the area. For those of you that are surprised there are moose in North Dakota, there definitely is and it's a once in a lifetime tag.

Again, Happy Thanksgiving as we look forward to the coming of Christmas.

I’m having some fun editing fall clips with Davinci Resolve. Anyone who knows me well knows I love wild game animals. I do not discriminate. If it’s in America you most likely see it on this page sooner or later. I don’t know if I could pick a favorite, but I first got into hunting big time with waterfowl as an adult. I’m not much different than the average North Dakota guy. Growing up hunting and fishing is just part of our culture. I have fond memories of getting my first shotgun and .270 deer rifle, along with deer, duck, and goose hunting with my family. Looking back makes me realize how far I’ve come. Thank God for Army Markmanship training because I would not be the same without it,

The weather is fluctuating here in the 701. We got snow, the sloughs and potholes froze over, and then the melt came. Today was in the mid 60’s. Tomorrow we’re in the low 40’s. It’s November, but it’s hard to believe.

Personally, I’m not ready for the snow. I hope to get out on a few more hunts without having to trudge through the deep snow. I guess time will tell. I hope you have a great hunting season and a great rest of the year.

This post is a little late, but better late than never. I’m pretty rusty with my shooting so it took a little longer than normal.

Struggling with military service related PTSD, anxiety, and depression is no joke, but I’ve hunted more this year than any time in the last 7 years. Things are slowly getting easier. Duck hunting is still a little overwhelming, but I will keep working to get my life back one day at a time.

My regular shotgun broke, so I’m using my wife’s Mossberg. It had been so dependable!

Thanks to everyone who appreciates my work and for all the support and positive comments.

Note: I cooked up the pheasant today for lunch and it was delicious!

The pheasants are plentiful and I’ve been enjoying setting down the camera and picking up the shotgun instead. I’ve hunted more this year than in a very long time. The snow is supposed show up this weekend, so I will be spending all the time I can in the field. Happy hunting everyone!

Coming in hot! Happy mallard Monday. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable and safe hunting season.

They went from fighting to let’s go grab a beer pretty quick.🍺

Be sure to join if you want to ensure we see sights like this for years to come. I’m excited for pheasant season.
