Short answer: yes — you can still legally buy and fly existing DJI drones in the U.S. in 2026. As an authorized dealer and working Part 107 pilot in Minnesota, here’s what matters:

• What changed: the FCC put new DJI models and some components on a Covered List in Dec 2025. That blocks new products from getting FCC authorization into the U.S. But it doesn’t brick or ground drones you already own.

• What’s safe: existing authorized models (Mavic 4 Pro, Matrice 4, Mini series, Neo 2, etc.) are still legal to buy from authorized dealers and to fly under normal FAA rules.

• What’s risky: gray-market imports — no warranty, no DJI Care eligibility, possible region-locked firmware.

My recommendation: buy from an authorized dealer now if you need a specific model. Warranty, firmware updates (extended through early 2029), and authorized parts matter — especially for businesses planning fleets.
