This article follows two special workshops: an in-person poetry workshop with Ash Wynter and a virtual fiction workshop with Junauda Petrus.

Held during the height of Metro Surge, the workshops offered two very different approaches to creative practice, one centered on critique, care, and close reading, the other on intuition, movement, and beginning new work.

Together, they showed how the fellowship continued to adapt, creating space for writers to refine their voices and begin again even under difficult circumstances.
