My final summer mini session of the year is officially complete, and now it’s time to start thinking about fall family photos.

Minneapolis Fall Mini Sessions are fully booked, but I still have a limited number of Petite + Signature Family Sessions available in September and October—and I don’t expect those dates to be around for long.

There’s no one-size-fits-all way to do a Minneapolis maternity photoshoot. You can keep it simple and intimate with an indoor studio session. You can soak up the beauty of Minnesota outdoors. Or, you can do both.

You can bring your partner and kids and capture your family before it grows, or come solo and make this time entirely about you and your growing baby.

Seeing families multiple times in one year truly melts my heart. This family came to me 7 months ago for their newborn session and now they visited again for the rose garden mini to capture their sweet girl at 7 months.

And.. honestly I don't think I've ever seen a baby smile at the camera so much! She's so sweet!

Although I'm still in the process of editing my last Summer Mini Session of the year, I am looking forward to shifting gears into Fall Minis not long from now! At the time of this post I only have TWO spots left. But if they're booked up or if you want a little more time I am offering Petite sessions this fall for a limited time. And of course, if you want the whole styled experience, more time, custom location I always offer Full Family Sessions all year long. You've got options.

This sweet family of three will soon become a family of four, and this particular session was less about documenting a pregnancy—it was about capturing them exactly as they are right now. The little moments, the connection, the way their family is today.

There’s something so special about photographing a mama during pregnancy and knowing that the next time I see her, I’ll be meeting her baby.

Newborn photos should never be rushed. 💕

My newborn sessions are intentionally extended so we can slow down, take our time, and let the day unfold naturally. There’s time for feeding, cuddling, soothing, and all the little pauses that come with life with a new baby.

And my favorite Twin Cities studios have both a beautiful indoor studio space and an outdoor space, so we can create so much variety without ever feeling hurried. We can move from soft, timeless portraits indoors to peaceful, natural images outside—all while keeping the experience calm and relaxed.

For this family, we had plenty of time to capture beautiful portraits of mom, dad, and their new baby, along with the quiet little moments that make this time so special.
