A fun moment during photo work tonight. A Boeing 747-400 LCF Dreamlifter passes over the Minneapolis-St. Paul area on 10/7/26.

There are only four of these aircraft in existence and are utilized to transport large pieces of Boeing 787s around the world.

The Dreamlifters are heavily modified Boeing 747-400s, and have three times the volume of a traditional 747-400F freighter.

Taking a quick break from the Fall colors posts to share this black and white image from High Falls along the Minnesota-Ontario border that I recently captured which may be one of my favorite images I’ve ever captured along Minnesota’s north shore.

To capture this, I waited over an hour for the perfect conditions. I utilized my new Hasselblad X2D II, with an exposure of 20 seconds to blur the waterfall and clouds overhead, as well as to ensure enough sun was lighting up the cliffs on the Ontario side of the falls, while still maintaining a striking contrast between the bright and dark areas.

Seeing the details of the original 100 megapixel file, viewed on an HDR-compatible screen, to show the true-to-life brightness and contrast of the image is truly a treat for the eyes.
