I am being terribly vulnerable and sharing this video I recorded today. Things are so hard right now and I want my clients forever to know that they do not have to be something other than who they are with me. And I have learned that sometimes the best way to let people know who you are is to let them see the side that isn’t shiny and perfect..

please note that I am in no way comparing what I have gone through or am going through to that of the survivors of this kind of horrendous violence. I am, in the midst of it all, a woman in the age of media cycles that forget our pain and expect our profit. So yes, I still want to take your pictures. I actually desperately want to remind you that you are here and you are worth celebrating. And, if you would like to take photos, reminding yourself of what you have survived, I will be the first person to cheer you on.

When you take your family photos it's so important to take time and make sure you get a photo with your partner. Of course we want the memories of watching our children grow, but I hope you take the time to honor how you two have grown as well.

All these photos can happen during easy fall mini-sessions. 15 minutes and 15 images to help you remember how much you've done and that you've done it together. There are still a few spots both in St. Paul and on October 4 and 24 at Bee Sage Farm!

“Do you two want to take pictures in that abandoned lot with me?”

Celebrating Caleb and Lauren’s summer wedding with friends and family in Chicago was so much fun and didn’t actually contain this much graffiti, however if you know anything about me you know that if there is a cool place to take photos at the end of the night, I’m gonna make it happen. Full moon, full hearts, (empty lots) can’t lose.

I’m so grateful for these two and their extraordinary friends and I’m so honored to call them family.

Watch the way your view on yourself and the world changes when you begin the process of being kind instead of critical. You are not going to get an award for being the meanest to yourself.

There is no prize for loudly being disgusted at your existence. So maybe, this can be the day or time that you start speaking kindly to yourself and about yourself and set an example for those you love to do the same.

let’s take photos and make memories that feel good. Let’s change the narrative that we always have to be our own worst critic and instead we could try being our own best friend.

I don't know if I've told you all, but I have a studio! I was fortunate enough to find a space with another incredible photographer (check out Caitlin Nightingale Photography, she's amazing) and I now have a studio space in St. Paul where we can create the most fun things!

So come on by, let's have fun, let's be silly and let's make art because let's be honest... you need new photos.

Family photos don’t have to be a struggle. My goal is to make family photos as drama, free and drama free as possible. It does mean that you are going to have to give up a little bit of control in the process and let me do my job.

I want you to have fun in your photos. And no one is having fun if you’re screaming at them to smile. I’ll get the smile, I promise. let me show you what I can make happen in 15 minutes.
