Ahhh, the reception. The part of the day where you forget about the linen colors, the seating chart, and whether you picked the right flowers, and just get to be fully present with your people. 🥹

As my 2026 couples start thinking about timelines, this part of the day usually flows beautifully with a little intention. The biggest things that shape it are when dinner is served, how many guests you have, and whether you want to do things like speeches and first dances before or after you eat. There is no right or wrong way to plan it, just what feels best for you. 🤍

And golden hour? We usually sneak out for a few minutes during dinner or between courses, depending on the season and the light. I am always watching for those glowy moments so you do not have to.

And then… it’s time to party.
C + M absolutely outdid themselves with a live band and a surprise performance from their bestie. I have honestly never seen a dance floor so full, and nights like this are exactly why I love what I do.

The goal is never to over-schedule your night. It is to give you space to eat, breathe, dance, laugh, and actually enjoy being married. ✨ Cannot wait to see what all of my 2026 couples are planning for their big day.

TWO YEARS. 🥹✨

Two years ago I said yes to something that scared me.
Today, that yes has turned into a business, a community, and a life I’m so proud of.

If younger me could see this version of me, she would feel safe here.
Proud. And probably a little shocked at how far we’ve come.

From one terrifying first shoot to a brand built on connection, trust, and people being fully themselves in front of my camera… this journey has been everything.

When your friend asks if you would be down to take some bridal portraits of her and her man to celebrate their Hmong marriage anniversary, it is very important that you say yes. 🙂‍↕️🤭

This was one of those sessions that just felt really special. Cold air, quiet city streets, red tulips, a whole lot of love, and two people who have already chosen each other and still get to keep choosing each other every day.

We photographed these bridal portraits in downtown Milwaukee, turning the city lights and winter streets into something soft and romantic in a way that feels true to them.

It was not about pretending it was their wedding day. It was about celebrating where they are now and capturing what their love looks like in this season.

Let’s talk engagement sessions!!!
A conversation I have with couples all the time is whether or not to do an engagement session with their wedding photographer before the wedding day. Some of my wedding collections include an engagement session and it can always be added on to the ones that don’t.

Here’s why doing an engagement session before your big day can be such a benefit:
✨ It allows us to get to know each other before your wedding day. Yes, we chat on a phone call, but meeting and working together in person helps you two feel comfortable in front of my camera. You get to learn the little prompts I use to bring out your real giggles and soft moments. I also get to learn how you naturally interact so I can show up on your day already knowing what feels best for you.

✨ The season of life that is your engagement is so special and deserves to be documented. Before the name changes and before the big celebration, it is still the story of you two that brought us here. Your engagement session becomes a little time capsule of this chapter. A chance to slow down, reconnect, and dream about what is ahead.

✨ You get beautiful and relaxed photos for save the dates, wedding decor, your home, or simply for yourselves. There is no timeline and no pressure. Just the two of you being yourselves, which always creates some of my favorite images.

ANNNND just like that… my 2025 wedding season comes to a close. 🥹
I honestly don’t have the words to explain how grateful I am. To every beautiful couple who trusted me with your day, every second photographer who showed up for me, and every photographer who welcomed me into their world to help serve their couples...thank you. Truly.

This year I helped document 28 weddings… a number I would’ve only dreamed of a year ago. Last year I was blown away to photograph 10. To look back and see how far this "little" business has grown...CUE THE TEARS OMG.

Next year? The goal is to photograph 20 of my own weddings and still second shoot when the timing feels right. And I genuinely could not have gotten here without YOU. The best part???? 2025 isn’t even done yet. I still have engagement sessions, bo***ir sessions for my 2026 brides, and all the behind-the-scenes growing I’m doing as a business owner and a soon-to-be first-time mom. 🥰

Updates on my 2026 availability are coming soon, along with new offerings and new goals. But above everything…

When you’re his ✨muse✨.

The Milwaukee Central Library already gives off all the elegant, romantic vibes, but when my couples are this in love, it just hits different. It feels like something straight out of a romance novel.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is documenting your love in ways you might not have noticed before. The way he looks at you when you’re in front of him. The way she lights up when you kiss her cheek. The moments that feel small in real time but end up being everything that makes your love yours.

Because it’s not just about the photos. It’s about seeing yourselves the way you feel: unfiltered, magnetic, and completely in love.

They didn’t need a castle or a ballroom to create their dream day… Nope! Just their people. A place filled with nostalgia. And a love that’s unmistakably theirs.

C + M’s wedding was the definition of personal: set at their family lake house, surrounded by the ones who know them best. Dad was on the tractor. The cousins were all together. The band? A random find at a bar they stumbled into together. No strict timelines. Just joy, connection, and a celebration of everything that brought them here.

At one point, C told me it felt like just another lake day with family, and that’s exactly what made it so special.

My job? To make sure every second lives on…exactly as you felt it.
