To first look or not to first look?

Some couples want that aisle moment to be the first time they see each other. Others choose a first look or private vows because it gives them a quiet pause in an otherwise full day—something grounding before everything unfolds.

What I’ve seen is that it can gently shift the pace of the day. It tends to create more space later on—more time to be with your people, to settle into cocktail hour, to actually feel present rather than pulled in a hundred directions.

But truly, it’s never about what you should do. It’s about what feels like it will let you live your wedding day in a way that feels most like you!
