I have had the pleasure to watch Debbie Kishpaugh
not only teach/coach our dancers of all ages since I began my athletic training duties here in Pendleton 17 years ago, I’ve also watched her teach them how to be leaders in our community or the communities they choose to move to. She is an inspiration and leads by example as she molds our youth into young adults that are passionate in all they do. The awards mentioned in this nomination letter are well deserved as is this nomination. Congrats Debbie. You amaze me everyday watching how you truly care for our youth of all ages. I love that you don’t only work with our dance athletes, but with any Pendleton HS athlete. Much love and respect! 🥰

Working the 2A state basketball tournament the next few days as an athletic trainer. Figured I’d add a picture I took with my cell just to say I like to watch some basketball. 😊

Debbie Kishpaugh is one of the most amazing coaches I know. She loves kids and you can see it in the way she takes the time to invest in the lives of her dancers, from the little ones starting out in Jr. Jam up to Pendleton high school's Rhythmic Mode dancers. Last night she was one of two coaches to earn the Oregon Dance and Drill Coaches Association (DDCA) Coach of the Year more than once in their careers (Debbie at the 5A level, and Denise Harris from Gladstone at the 4A level), a well deserved honor (her first in 2008). In her 31 years as Rhythmic Mode's head coach she has lead them to 7 State Championships ( 2001, 2008-13). Later tonight she will also be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the DDCA. She will be the first person to be presented the Lifetime Achievement while still coaching.
