I am very disheartened and disappointed to say that I will no longer be attending Morris and Essex. I was really looking forward to capturing some amazing memories for you, but due to being given misinformation from multiple club representatives, I cannot photograph the show.
As a photographer I ALWAYS ask permission from the club / dock / etc before shooting at an event, and I did the same for M&E. Unfortunately, I was not given correct information and after posting in an owner handler group, a fellow exhibitor reported me to the club for advertising my photography services.
A representative from the club then contacted me and told me I would need to pay a $600 vendor fee to sell photos and if I did not and offered any photos for sale, I would be sued.
With less than a week to go before the show and it being an extremely tough year for me personally for many reasons, I just cannot come up with $600 right now to be able to attend.
I am truly sorry that I will not be able to take the photos I promised of your pups. Please know that I am extremely sad about all of this, and I never had ill intentions. I have always followed the rules and truly thought I did everything right this time around as well.
I have been looking forward to this for so long and didn't enter my own dogs so that I could fully commit to taking photos for all of you. When I attended in 2015, I did not get any professional photos of me and my dog, Mosby, so I really hoped I could help others keep those cherished memories in photo form.
I wish I could still be there with you all this year. I wish you all the best of luck and hope to see you at a future event.
