I wasn’t sure how to narrow these down to 20 pictures for instagram but I tried my best! You can feel the joy and love and ease. Stephanie said “I just want the boys to think we’re having a fun day at the beach” and that’s the absolute best attitude and the best way to get real smiles. Makes my job so fun 🫶

I can’t wait to do my second newborn session with them soon! 🩷 I first met them at their middle son’s newborn shoot.

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day 🩷 I’ve been meaning to share this recent studio gorgeousness of my lovely repeat client, Catherine.

I’m hosting more studio mini sessions at the end of this month and this is just a glimpse of what we can capture during a mini session.

If you spent the whole day yesterday trying to get nice photos with your little(s) but couldn’t pull it off, maybe it’s time to hand over the reigns 😄. You deserve nice photos with your babies! Even if they’re not babies anymore.

You know what my favorite thing about this session was?

The fact that Mom and Dad told me they were having so much FUN during it.

Their baby was 6-weeks-old, and they managed to get dressed and out the door with him, which I find incredibly impressive! (And they were on time?! what?!) On top of that, they were so excited and happy to be there. It truly makes my photographer heart sing.

It is such a pleasure to photograph parents when they’re having a good time. I know sometimes a photoshoot can feel like something you *should* do, but it’s a lot more fun when it’s something everyone *wants* to do. I also know that getting everyone dressed and out the door can be incredibly stressful, but if you can leave all of that at the door and show up being fully present, it’s a gift to everyone involved. 

It is such a rare gift to be together with your loved ones in a beautiful setting for an hour without any phones or distractions. I love when clients can appreciate that. I feel like my best work happens when parents are enjoying themselves, and it’s so easy to cheer them on and hype them up.

I’ve been nominated for ’s “Best of the County” in the photography category, and this is my 4th year as a finalist! 🙏

I launched my full-time photography business in Marin in 2022, and since then I’ve had the privilege of photographing *hundreds* of local families. I can’t go anywhere without running into a family I’ve photographed, and it makes my heart so happy to feel like I am really part of my community. I’ve photographed growing families, business owners, high school seniors, newborns, and more. It genuinely is a dream come true to live here and do this work.

Here’s the stat that means everything to me though: last year I photographed 137 sessions, and 68 of them were repeat clients. Exactly 50%. Not every family needs a photographer every year, so the fact that so many come back (and that clients from years past are already booking for this year) means more to me than any award ever could.

But winning would still be pretty great. 😄

I get this question a lot — and the answer is yes... kind of!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After ~4 weeks, we shift into what I call a “lifestyle newborn session.” We’ll skip the swaddles and sleepy poses, but you’ll still get beautiful, cozy photos of you and your new baby at home.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Babies are considered newborns until 3 months old, and I’m happy to capture this season no matter where you are in it. We might not get the sleepy, swaddled pictures, but you might get some big smiles instead!

I’m finally feeling like I have time to post last year’s sessions— and this one has a good story!

Ally and I met each other when we were studying abroad in Barcelona! We were still connected to each other on social media, and we realized we were both in the bay. She reached out to me for newborn pictures and I was SO excited!

This is not the first time where I showed up to a session after not seeing someone for over a decade (oof that makes me feel old). But it’s the most special thing ever to have a job that lets you reconnect with people at some of the most special and pivotal times of their lives! Imagine running into someone you haven’t seen in ages and then having them randomly be one of the first people to meet your baby?! And again, this is not the first time I’ve been in that situation!! I feel lucky and grateful because it makes the world feel smaller, and makes everyone feel like less of a stranger. You never know who you might see again!

I’ve photographed both pregnancies for this sweet family and this session involved a lot more cardio than the last 🤪. But it was also more fun!
