They also move fast, and a little preparation goes a long way in keeping things smooth for everyone. To ensure you connect with the right photographer (and donโt accidentally walk into someone elseโs live session), please follow the exact entrance directions provided to you by your photographer.

We know everyone is excited โ truly! โ but early arrivals can unintentionally create stressful environments for the families currently being photographed.
๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐: one family in the studio doing their best with an overstimulated little oneโฆ then two more families walk in earlyโฆ and now multiple children are overwhelmed and crying. It happens more often than you might imagine โ and we want the opposite: calm, comforting, happy energy for everyone. โจ

โฑ 5 minutes early? Please wait outside on the decks, or covered front porch (depending on studio.)
โฑ More than 10 minutes early? Please wait in your car or walk in the park, or along the waterfront promenade next to the studios building
(๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ต๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฎ? Just let your photographer or their assistant know โ theyโll point you in the right direction.)

We do have restrooms, but they are shared and limited โ especially on busy mini session days.

To keep things flowing and avoid backups, we kindly ask that you arrive fully dressed rather than changing on-site.

This year, all photographers have been asked to begin photographing 15 minutes after their rental start time. This 15min window allows them to:
โข personalize the set
โข arrange client treats
โข consider lighting
โข set creative angles
โข get into the headspace to capture your family beautifully
Weโve had situations where clients arrived 25 minutes early โ before the photographer had even arrived, while were tidying up spaces โ and that pressure truly impacts creativity for a photographer when they walk in the door, and someone is already present, ๐ธ๐ข๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ for them. Letโs make sure every photographer has the breathing room they need to do what they do best. ๐
