Patiently waiting on baby sis 🤍 It was so special getting to capture my cousin and her little family during such a sweet season of life. They already have so much love between the three of them, and I can’t wait to see them add one more little girl to the mix.

I booked my first 2027 wedding last night, and if I’m being honest, I’ve been in my feels ever since. Not because it’s 2027, but because it made me stop and realize that I’m officially heading into my THIRD wedding season. Somehow, this little hobby that I was terrified to share with other people has turned into something I never imagined. A few years ago, this was just that: a hobby. I’ve always loved taking pictures, but I never imagined people would actually ask me to capture their memories, let alone trust me with one of the most important days of their lives. If you would’ve told me back then that I’d be booking into my third wedding season, I would’ve thought you were crazy.

For me, photography has never been about having the perfect camera or taking the prettiest picture. It’s always been about remembering. I’ve always been the person with a camera in my hand. I’d take pictures of my family, my pets, sunsets, flowers, and yes… even trees because I thought they looked cool and wanted to remember them. Looking back, I don’t think I realized it then, but I was always trying to hold onto little moments that made life beautiful.

When my dad passed away, I was only 7 years old, and I can count on one hand the number of photos I have with him. Losing him only reinforced what I already believed. You never know when a photograph will become priceless.

Some of my favorite childhood memories weren’t from vacations or birthdays. They were with my cousins, climbing into what my grandparents lovingly called “the hell hole.” It was a little storage room off the side of their living room that held absolutely everything. There wasn’t any organization. To get to the photo bin in the very back, you had to step over roasting pans, 50 pound bags of potatoes, and whatever else had found its way in there over the years. Every so often we’d make the trek back, pull out that old clear storage bin filled with family photos, and spend hours sitting on the floor laughing at old hairstyles, asking questions, hearing stories about family members, and remembering moments that otherwise may have been forgotten. That same bin has been pulled out during some of the hardest days of our lives too, as we’ve searched for photos of loved ones for funerals. Today, that bin lives in my attic, and every so often I’ll still pull it down and flip through it. It brings me a sense of peace that’s hard to explain.

I know we live in a world where we all have thousands of photos on our phones, but my hope is that the images I create become more than files sitting in a camera roll. I hope they’re the ones you print, frame, pass down, and pull out years from now. I hope they’re the photos your children and grandchildren gather around someday. I hope they make you laugh, cry, smile, and remember exactly how those moments felt. That’s why I love photographing weddings. Yes, I want you to have beautiful portraits, but even more than that, I want to preserve the hugs, the happy tears, the quiet glances, the laughter, and all of the little moments in between that become part of your family’s story.

I do work an adult job full time and photography is my little side thing. Honestly, I’m okay with that because I don’t do this to fill every weekend on my calendar. I do it because it genuinely fills my cup. Every couple, every family, and every wedding reminds me why I took the leap in the first place.

To every single person who has trusted me over the last few years, thank you. I will never stop being amazed that this little hobby has grown into what it has. Your support means more than you’ll ever know. And if you’re newly engaged and looking for someone who genuinely cares about preserving your memories just as much as creating beautiful photos, I’d be honored to preserve your story.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading. Here’s to year three. 🤍✨

One of my favorite things about wedding days is the families. Everyone is there for one reason, and getting to capture those relationships is something I’ll never take for granted.

The Harris Wedding 🤍
There’s just something about a small wedding. The people, the atmosphere, and all the little moments just feel so intentional. I knew this wedding was going to be a good one, but it ended up being even better than I expected. The venue was gorgeous, and somehow the rain made the whole day even more memorable. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Harris. 🤍

Sometimes the best wedding photos come from the moments you never planned for. The rain came, but so did the smiles, the laughter, and a whole lot of love. I already can’t wait to share more from the Harris wedding. 🤍

I was having the best time during Addy’s graduation session… until Addy casually said, “there’s a snake by your foot.”

I screamed like a little girl while she calmly told me, “it’s okay, it won’t hurt you, it’s just a baby,” and then proceeded to MOVE ROCKS trying to pick it up while I stood there absolutely terrified.

Meanwhile, she somehow still looked gorgeous the entire time. Seriously one of the sweetest girls, and I’m so excited for her as she heads off to Penn College next!

Got to see my girl Kuy on graduation day, which somehow made this session even more special because it also happened to be Mother’s Day 🤍 Her mama, sister, and friend were all there celebrating alongside her, and we spent some time together taking these photos.

How beautiful are these ladies?! Not only beautiful, but genuinely so sweet, fun, and full of love for each other. Sessions like this are such a reminder that graduation is about so much more than just the degree. It’s about the people who helped get you there too.

So thankful I got the opportunity to do this for Kuy, and I already can’t wait until the next time we get together!

Hannah will be graduating from Penn State this December with her degree in Animal Science, with veterinarian school up next for her. Her mom reached out to schedule these before Hannah headed home for the summer, and I’m so glad we made it happen. We spent the entire session keeping an eye on the weather and hoping the rain would hold off, and somehow it did just long enough for us to get everything in.

Between the animal science photos, Old Main, confetti, champagne spray, and all the fun in between, this one was such a good session. So excited for everything ahead for her 🤍
