TemporaryLocals

TemporaryLocals Sometimes it takes years to find that perfect for you someone. We discovered each other in our 50's. Our dreams are big and our life is simple.

Living the nomadic life since 2021 - absolutely no time to waste! We are ready to push the limits on life, wherever that may be. Our love for each other is the fuel that gets us up each day. We are rich with experiences and memories while counting our blessings one by one - knowing we can’t count that high. It’s the little things that mean it all, so we try to not let them slip by. Our travels giv

e us much more than we could ever give back, from meeting wonderful people we now call friends, seeing so many beautiful places, and camping in jaw dropping locations we call our temporary home. We love sharing our story with those who want to listen - we think it’s worth telling and hope it inspires others to enjoy making memories they want to share one day.

Roadside overlook stop. It was a perfect spot for boondocking. If you are ever in the Las Cruces area on I 10 - stop and visit the nice overlook rest stop.

"The roadrunner is the official state bird of New Mexico, which explains why artist Olin Calk built a giant recycled roadrunner -- 20 feet tall and 40 feet long -- in Las Cruces in 1993. Back then it stood at the city landfill, and was made exclusively of items salvaged from it: Olin's way to call attention to what he called, "consumption, recycling, and just looking at stuff we throw away."

In early 2001, Olin stripped off the old junk, replaced it with new junk, and moved the roadrunner to a rest stop along Interstate 10, just west of the city. The roadrunner could be seen for miles, and gained a wide new audience of fans."
