I don't have children of my own, but I have watched enough of my friends become parents to know one thing: nobody is ever prepared for how quickly the school years fly by.

One minute they're bringing home finger paintings and learning to tie their shoes, and the next you're helping them pick classes, prepare for dances, and think about graduation.

Somewhere in between, they grow up.

Maybe that's why these back-to-school photos matter so much.

This year's Back-to-School Minis will be held at The Lumen Room - Panther Island and feature three custom-designed sets by Floating with Joy for students from preschool through high school.

I truly love what I do.

It's never just about the couple. It's about the people who have loved them, supported them, and helped shape them into who they are.

Dads will always hold a special place in my heart. It's a moment I wish I could have experienced myself, but I will happily be there crying right alongside you when your dad pulls you into the biggest hug, during those quiet moments before you walk down the aisle, and later in the night when the dad jokes and questionable dance moves make their appearance.

Today is for celebrating the ones who have been there from the very beginning, the ones who stepped up even when they didn't have to, and the ones who chose to love us as their own.

And for those who don't know that feeling, or who are missing someone today, I'm sending you the biggest hug. I'm right there with you. 🫶🏽

Wedding planning has somehow become a group project where everyone has an opinion. 😅

Your mom has thoughts.
Your best friend has thoughts.
TikTok definitely has thoughts.
And somehow the person who got married 12 years ago still has thoughts.

The truth? There isn't one "right" way to plan a wedding.

The best wedding day is the one that feels authentic to you.

That's one of the reasons I created The Bridal Chat. A place for brides to ask questions, get honest answers, and feel more confident about the day they've been dreaming of.

Had the pleasure of working with Amanda Brown again this past week as part of the olympiahillsweddings Styled Shoot.

It's been so great getting to network and work with such amazing and talented vendors. It was such a fun afternoon and will be forever grateful of everyone who I've crossed paths with.

Hi friends!

I've been wanting to create something like this for a long time, and I'm so excited to finally share it.

If you've ever found yourself wondering, "Am I doing this right?" while planning your wedding, you're not alone.

As a wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of walking alongside so many couples on one of the biggest days of their lives. Over the years, I've learned that the moments couples remember most aren't always the ones they spent months planning. They're the moments they allowed themselves to fully experience.

That's why I created The Bridal Chat.

A relaxed morning of coffee, conversation, and wedding photography insights centered around creating meaningful moments, natural photographs, and a wedding day you can truly enjoy.

We'll talk about timelines, being comfortable in front of the camera, creating space for the moments that matter most, and any wedding questions you may have along the way.

I’m Amairani, a wedding photographer now based in Austin, Texas, though my work takes me all over Texas and wherever your story happens to lead. I photograph weddings with a calm, intentional approach so you can be fully present in the moments you’ll want to hold onto forever. The deep breaths before you walk down the aisle, the tears your parents try to hide, the laughter during toasts, the quiet moments in between everything else. Those are the memories that matter most to me.

A little about me outside of the camera. I married my middle school sweetheart, Arthur, and somewhere along the way life taught me just how important photographs really are. I was raised by an incredibly strong single mother who shaped so much of the woman I’ve become, especially when it comes to resilience, compassion, and continuing forward even through difficult seasons.

This past year brought a lot of change. We moved to Austin, stepped into new chapters personally and professionally, and also experienced heartbreak with the passing of our sweet girl, Sweet Pea. Losing her reminded me how quickly time moves and how meaningful it is to preserve the people, seasons, and little everyday moments we love so deeply. The joyful seasons deserve to be remembered, but so do the seasons that shape us.

I think that’s why I approach weddings the way I do. Not just focused on beautiful photos, but on preserving feeling. Your people, your story, your season of life exactly as it is right now.

So whether you’re planning a wedding in Austin, Dallas, the Hill Country, West Texas, or somewhere far beyond, I hope you’ll stay awhile, look through the stories I’ve had the honor of documenting, and feel a little more at home here. 💜
