Hi friends!

I've been wanting to create something like this for a long time, and I'm so excited to finally share it.

If you've ever found yourself wondering, "Am I doing this right?" while planning your wedding, you're not alone.

As a wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of walking alongside so many couples on one of the biggest days of their lives. Over the years, I've learned that the moments couples remember most aren't always the ones they spent months planning. They're the moments they allowed themselves to fully experience.

That's why I created The Bridal Chat.

A relaxed morning of coffee, conversation, and wedding photography insights centered around creating meaningful moments, natural photographs, and a wedding day you can truly enjoy.

We'll talk about timelines, being comfortable in front of the camera, creating space for the moments that matter most, and any wedding questions you may have along the way.

If you’re newly engaged and just found your way here, welcome. I’m genuinely so glad you’re here. 🤍

I’m Amairani, a wedding photographer now based in Austin, Texas, though my work takes me all over Texas and wherever your story happens to lead. I photograph weddings with a calm, intentional approach so you can be fully present in the moments you’ll want to hold onto forever. The deep breaths before you walk down the aisle, the tears your parents try to hide, the laughter during toasts, the quiet moments in between everything else. Those are the memories that matter most to me.

A little about me outside of the camera. I married my middle school sweetheart, Arthur, and somewhere along the way life taught me just how important photographs really are. I was raised by an incredibly strong single mother who shaped so much of the woman I’ve become, especially when it comes to resilience, compassion, and continuing forward even through difficult seasons.

This past year brought a lot of change. We moved to Austin, stepped into new chapters personally and professionally, and also experienced heartbreak with the passing of our sweet girl, Sweet Pea. Losing her reminded me how quickly time moves and how meaningful it is to preserve the people, seasons, and little everyday moments we love so deeply. The joyful seasons deserve to be remembered, but so do the seasons that shape us.

I think that’s why I approach weddings the way I do. Not just focused on beautiful photos, but on preserving feeling. Your people, your story, your season of life exactly as it is right now.

So whether you’re planning a wedding in Austin, Dallas, the Hill Country, West Texas, or somewhere far beyond, I hope you’ll stay awhile, look through the stories I’ve had the honor of documenting, and feel a little more at home here. 💜

Motherhood has a way of changing the meaning of home.

It’s in the women who made us feel safe, loved us through every version of ourselves, and somehow carried so much without asking for anything in return.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized more and more just how much strength it takes to be the woman holding everything together. Especially the women who do it on their own.

My own momma is a single mother, and truly one of the people I admire most in this world. She taught me what resilience looks like, how to love deeply, work hard, care for others, and keep showing up even when life feels heavy. So much of who I am today is because of her.

And now getting to photograph so many mothers in every stage of life makes these moments mean even more to me. The quiet hugs, the chaos, the tenderness, the way a mother looks at the people she loves… it all matters.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women carrying so much with grace and love every single day. 🤍

There are some projects that stay with you long after they’re created.

This editorial at Frente al Punto was one of them. Thoughtfully designed, layered with color and movement, and rooted in the kind of experience that invites you to slow down and truly take it in.
Seeing it featured on feels like a natural extension of that vision. A celebration of intentional design, meaningful collaboration, and the kind of storytelling that goes beyond what is seen.

Petals & Pours at The Grand Lady Austin 💐

An afternoon meant for slowing down, sipping something sweet, and creating something beautiful.

From brides with their bridal party, to best friends, to the sweetest mother and son duos… it was so special watching everyone wander the gardens, enjoy a drink, and come together to build their own bouquets. There was such a soft, joyful energy in every little moment.

While this wasn’t a networking event, I still found myself having the sweetest conversations and making genuine connections along the way. Slowly but surely, finding my place and putting down roots in a new city feels really exciting.

And yes… making my own bouquet might have been one of my favorite parts 🤍

Soft blooms, sunshine peeking through the trees, and that kind of joy you can’t fake… the kind that shows up in the quiet glances, the belly laughs, and the way everyone leans in just a little closer.

This day at felt easy in the best way. No rush, no pressure, just two people fully present, soaking in every second they’ve been dreaming about.

And truly… that’s the magic of it all. Not just how it looked, but how it felt.

Spending St. Patrick’s Day sharing a few favorites from the most dreamy retreat at Markree Castle feels only right. From castle halls to rolling green landscapes, every corner felt like something out of a story I still can’t believe I get to tell.
