We could have brought a table and some brochures to the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook for the
RainbowWeddingNetwork LGBTQ+ Wedding Expo. We had a different idea.

We built a space where couples could actually experience what planning with us feels like. Walk the room, watch an ordinary ballroom become their reception on screen, try the photo booth, ask every question, and picture their own day instead of guessing at it from a brochure. The second this record came on at Ian and Mary's wedding at The Haley Mansion, the whole room knew exactly what time it was.

Here is the part most people miss about a wedding. Anybody can build a playlist. Knowing the exact moment to drop the one song that flips a room, that is the actual job. You read who is in front of you and you give them the night they did not know they wanted.

Three hours in and nobody wanted to leave. That is the goal every single time. Ian & Mary invited guests who wanted to celebrate their wedding and DANCE!

Her fiancé wasn't with her at the expo, and up to now he's only seen their wedding through pictures. A few saved images, a few ideas, nothing he could really picture.

So we sat down at the Vision Suite and showed her what their room could actually become. The lighting, the energy, the whole space transformed in front of her. Her words after: now she can go home and say to him, look, this is what we can do.

That's the shift. You shouldn't have to imagine your wedding from a brochure. You should get to see it.

Kaitlin said it best.
She told me before the wedding she was nervous. Smaller guest count, and she was worried people would not really get into the music. That fear is real, and I hear it more than you would think. So this review means a lot to me, because it is the exact thing she was scared of, turned all the way around. Everyone cheering, dancing, singing, the whole room in it together.
A smaller wedding is not a smaller night. It just needs someone who can read the room and pull everyone in. That is the whole job.

About last night at The Haley Mansion...

Kaitlin and Paul trusted us with the full flow of their day, and I do not take that lightly. Joe and I were both on the floor for this one, from ceremony audio to their first dance to a packed tent at the end of the night.

You can watch the room change with it. Elegant for the vows, romantic for the first dance, then full energy once the glow sticks came out.

This is the part I love most. The same team, start to finish, so the couple never has to wonder who is running their night.
Congratulations again, you two.

This is why I love weddings with personality.
