There is still a long road ahead, and many things still need to happen. But after 26 years of trying everything to get rid of this regime, today we finally see a small light at the end of the tunnel.
In Venezuela, we went through hell. We were hungry. We were silenced. We couldn’t speak freely. We couldn’t see our families. People who dared to think differently were imprisoned, tortured, and killed. Our children were killed for speaking up. Many lives were taken without remorse.
More than seven million Venezuelans were forced to leave their country — and the world stayed silent.
The world was blind. While we were crying for help, nobody acted. There were only words, empty speeches, and negotiations that led nowhere. We were dying, and the world just watched.
We did everything. Everything.
There were times with no food. No medicine. People dying of starvation. People walking from Venezuela to Colombia, to Peru, to Argentina — walking for days, for months — just to survive.
So yes, we support the actions taken by the United States. Thank you to the U.S. government. Thank you to President Trump. This nightmare is finally cracking.
We have the right to celebrate. We have the right to feel hope. We have the right to be happy.
And to those criticizing us for celebrating — you don’t know. You have no idea what we lived through, how people survive in Venezuela.
This year, this hope is the greatest gift life could give us. 🇻🇪✨
