Today I’m in my feelings.
I’ve been crying all day, not because anything is wrong, but because I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
Grateful for my health. My remission. My doctors. My husband. My babies. My family. My friends. My clients. This business that somehow became everything I dreamed it could be. There is just so much goodness in my life that my heart can’t seem to hold it all.
As I’ve been working through galleries today, a few have really stopped me in my tracks.
I’ve known this family my entire life. Literally since we were babies. I’ve photographed them more times than I can count. In fact, Ella’s newborn session is what started The Loving Lens.
Looking through this gallery, I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for the privilege of documenting not just this family, but so many families over the years.
Yes, some families come and go. But today, my heart is with the ones who keep coming back. The ones who have trusted me through pregnancies, newborns, birthdays, milestones, and all the beautiful in-between moments. The ones who have invited me into their lives year after year. The little ones who recognize me as their photographer.
I used to be a kindergarten teacher, and being part of my students’ lives filled my heart in ways I can’t describe. Now, I get to be part of so many families’ stories, watching these babies grow up behind my camera, and it is truly one of the greatest gifts of my life.
So today, from the bottom of my heart… thank you.
To the Gomez- Perez family, and to every family who has trusted me with your memories, cheered me on, recommended me to your friends, and supported my not-so-little business, thank you. You have given me a career filled with purpose, friendships I’ll treasure forever, and a life I never stop thanking God for.
I don’t take a single one of you for granted. 🥹🤍
