This weather this summer has been for the birds. Rain almost every weekend so I have not been out photographing much. Hope that means we have a colorful fall foliage this year! I have so many places picked out I wanna shoot. Speaking of birds, here is a robin I photographed in my backyard in June.

I stopped at Patriot Park a few days ago to see the VAU Fallen Heroes Memorial. If you are not familiar with Patriot Park, it is across from the entrance to the Flight 93 National Memorial. It honors Post-9/11 United States Armed Forces. The Field Of Heroes Flag Display is a must see. Every flag represents each service man and woman who has made the ultimate sacrifice since 9/11. The Fallen Heroes Memorial will be on display until the 15th. It has over 7,000 dog tags representing those who have fallen during the Global War On Terror. I served on the same ship as CDR Murphy-Sweet during my time in the Navy. He died in Iraq in 2007 when an IED exploded.

New exhibit currently running for the 25th anniversary of 9/11. I donated some prints to be used in the exhibit and cannot wait to go check it out.

Visit the Philip Dressler Center for the Arts to view our current exhibit commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 and our community’s response to Flight 93. The exhibit will also be open during the Bands for the Brave concert on Thursday, August 6th.

I've gained a lot of new followers this week from my last post. Welcome all! You will find out that I really enjoy taking photos of the moon. Here is tonight's full moon rise. I was fighting through a thin layer of clouds so it's not the sharpest. It'll do though.

Went to check out Uptown Chalk the Block in Somerset today. There were so many amazing artists there with beautiful chalk art! I even went home with some paintings for myself. Another great year in the books. Somerset Inc.
