These two braved summer temps (still well over 100 degrees even after sunset) so their guests didn't have to. A separate evening bridal session ensured that we didn't have to try and get pictures during the heat of the day on wedding day. Still hot for sure - but so much better than mid-day, both for lighting and for temperatures.

June is a tough month to be married in Arizona - but a little planning ensures that you still can have beautiful pictures, even outside. A separate evening bridal session ensured that we weren't trying to take pictures in the heat of the day on wedding day. We still took family pictures day of, but had to forgo perfect backdrops in favor of shade. Congratulations Kayla and Bryce!! Thanks for allowing me to photograph a moment in your love story. It's obvious how much you cherish each other. Here's to many, many happy years ahead.

What's better than a May 4th wedding? When it's a May 4th wedding of a childhood friend. It was amazing to reconnect and share the pure joy of her wedding to an awesome man. Taking bridal portraits and doing a first look ahead of time gave them more time to enjoy their guests on the day of their wedding. They also were able to display them at their wedding. Congratulations guys!!! Here's to many, MANY happy years!

Now that they have announced it - I can share this sweet local elopement. A little extra effort turned this quick wedding into something much more personal, fun, and memorable than just a trip to the courthouse. Elopements may be my new favorite.

When the directions to a shoot include dirt lot and bridge over the canal- I got a little nervous. But these people were so much fun! And the location was meaningful and full of potential. My Senior was feisty, fierce, and passionate about her sport (roller derby with the bruises to prove it!!). This was a recipe for an AWESOME evening. Congratulations Monet!!

This shoot was so stinkin' exciting! I did have to go to ASU... but who knew their campus was so cool?? This mom and daughter are both receiving degrees this year - double the congratulations are definitely in order!
