A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with Tomahawk Main Street Inc. and capturing the Tomahawk Main Street Memories Car Show. What an incredible experience! From the amazing cars to the friendly people, and a community that truly knows how to put on an event, it was a day full of energy, stories, and nostalgia.

One of my favorite parts of photographing events like this is capturing the moments as they happen naturally. The smiles, conversations, and shared memories are what make these events so special.

It was tough to narrow them down, but here are "some" of my favorite images from the day. I hope they bring back some great memories and give you a glimpse into what made this event so special.

This handsome buck and I played a game of peek-a-boo last night. Every time I found an opening for a photo, he'd slip behind another hill. We went back and forth for a while, and I'll admit it was a lot of fun. In the end, he disappeared into the woods and won the game—but not before giving me a few memorable moments to enjoy.

Day 2 at the Kentucky Horse Park and another great day in the show pen.

Estrella Schleef & “You Don’t Say” (Lola) came away with 5th place in the Breeders 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle Silver and a Top 10 finish in the Breeders 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle L2. 👏👏👏

MC Show Horses

Rain soaked the grounds, boots were covered in mud, and the skies never seemed to let up—but that didn’t stop these incredible athletes from putting on an amazing show. This was my first time photographing a horse show of this caliber, and I came away with a whole new appreciation for the dedication, patience, and heart that goes into this sport.

One of the highlights for me was watching “Lola,” my daughter’s 3-year-old Quarter Horse, step into the arena alongside her amazing rider & trainer, Maryah Cugno. Seeing all the hard work, training, and trust come together was something special. No matter the weather, they brought their best and made us proud. MC Show Horses Estrella Schleef
