Sometimes the best parts of a road trip are the stops you never planned on making!

On our way to North Carolina, we were cruising down the interstate just outside of Indianapolis when my wife’s eagle eye spotted some wildlife. Before you know it, we were pulling off the highway and heading toward Eagle Creek Park to see what we could find.

Eagle Creek Park is a massive 5,300-acre green space with a 1,400-acre reservoir, and it didn’t take long to realize we had made the right decision to stop. The reservoir was full of life, with Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Gulls, American Pelicans, and Ospreys all enjoying the water.

What was supposed to be a quick stop along the way turned into another little wildlife adventure—and, of course, another opportunity to pull out the camera. 📸

That’s one of the things I love about traveling. You can have a destination in mind, but sometimes the unexpected stops along the way end up being the memories you remember most.

And this was just the beginning of our adventures on the road to North Carolina! 🚗📸

Sunday afternoon was another one of those perfect days for a senior session. I spent the afternoon with Caleb and from the moment we started, he was ready to go!🎓

We had a great time trying different locations and capturing a mix of shots that really show his personality. Caleb definitely brought his A-game to this session, and there were plenty of moments where I knew we had something special.

I’ve got a lot more to go through, but I wanted to share a little sneak peek from our afternoon. 📸

Another busy weekend is in the books, and I’m finally getting a chance to share a little sneak peek from this week’s adventures!

Saturday morning I had the pleasure of spending some time with the Cordova family at Stanges Park in Merrill. It was a beautiful setting for a family session, and we had a great time capturing some fun, natural moments together.

There’s nothing better than getting families out in a beautiful Northwoods setting and watching the personalities come through in front of the camera. ❤️

Another great evening with our friends from The Glam Band! 🎸🤘

Tonight they let me get a little more behind-the-scenes access to capture some photos from the show at Tiki Beach Bar & Grill. There’s nothing quite like being right in the middle of the action and seeing what goes on before, during, and after the show.
