An update for my amazing couples. 🙏

First, your footage and photos are completely safe. Backed up in multiple places, fully accounted for, never at any risk. Nothing from your day is lost, and that will never change.

Here's where things stand on my end, and I'm going to be honest with you.

My family is still walking through the hardest season of our lives. My youngest is doing much better. We're slowly tapering him off the medication the doctors prescribed so his body doesn't react badly to stopping it, and that has taken constant attention. My wife's surgery went well and she's recovering, but it's only been about a week. She can't be left alone with our children yet, which means I'm handling everything at home right now while she heals.

What that means for your project, plainly: I've kept shooting the weddings on my fall calendar, and I've had a little help on the days I need to be behind the camera, so filming is covered. But editing is at a standstill until my wife is back on her feet and able to be with the boys on her own. Our capital has completely dried up. I still owe my photographer, and I can't currently pay my editor to keep moving films forward. I'm doing this as fast as one person in my situation can.

I know some of you have now waited far longer than I ever promised, and I own that completely. None of this is fair to you, and it isn't normal. I couldn't have seen all of it coming at once, and I'm truly sorry you've carried the wait for a situation you had nothing to do with.

To the couples who have been so patient and gracious with us, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has meant more than you know. And to those of you who've reached out frustrated or disappointed, I understand completely, and I'm sorry. We're frustrated by it too. You are not wrong to want your memories, and I have not forgotten that I owe them to you.

A few of you have asked how you can help, and it's humbled us. Some have offered to speak up for us in wedding groups to help us book more work. Some have paid to expedite their own project or to cover editing so their film can move forward. I'm not asking anyone to do that, but if you've wondered, those things genuinely help us dig out and get back to delivering for all of you. And if you simply want to help our family stay in our home, sharing our fundraiser or donating anything makes a real difference.

I'll keep you updated as my wife recovers and I'm able to get back into editing. You will receive everything from your day. You have my word on that.

To my couples,

My wife is going in for hip replacement surgery on Monday. At the same time, our son is still being monitored and will be on special medication for the next few weeks while the doctors make sure he's okay. We almost lost him in the ICU. With mom away for surgery and recovery, the next stretch is going to be a real challenge for our home.

We're also struggling right now, not only to pay our bills and mortgage, but to put food on the table while we juggle all of these crises at once.

I'm truly sorry. I know many of you are waiting on me, and this is out of my control. I'm asking you to please continue to be patient with us, and most of all, to pray for us. Pray for my wife's surgery and recovery, for our son's healing, and for God's provision for our family.

Your photos and films are safe, and I'll be back in the office soon enough to continue catching up and grinding.
