Every once in a while, I create something that reminds me exactly why I picked up a camera in the first place.
The Second Chance Project isn’t about perfect portraits, it’s about people.
It’s about sitting across from someone who has fought battles most of us will never see, listening to their story, and reminding them (and everyone else) that they are so much more than the worst thing they’ve ever been through.
If you’ve been following Jaded Lens Photography for a while, thank you. Your support here has helped make this project possible, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
If you’d like to follow along with these incredible stories of recovery, hope, and resilience, I’d love to have you over on The Second Chance Project of WI. 💚
So… what is The Second Chance Project?
I’m so glad you asked.
It’s a free photography project dedicated to sharing the stories of people in recovery from addiction.
Each participant receives:
📸 A free portrait session
📝 A written interview
💚 Their story published to help reduce stigma and inspire hope
Recovery deserves to be celebrated, not hidden.
