It's National k9 day! Which means I totally have some shots you'd love to see 😁 I know I am missing at least 20 dogs and I apologize, ran out of time to look for all of them. But we all love all of the electronic detection pups and the search and rescue pups and therapy pups! Happy k9 day guys! I hope your handlers and sponsors spoil you guys! 💙

I will have Oconomowoc nno done hopefully by Sunday. How awesome is this shot?! Such an amazing time. Depends on Rusty's vet visit. I have to take my 18 yo kitty to the vet for a check up. He is not happy since Yodie passed. Has been limping a lot lately and looks all around when we say her name. The pain seems to be getting better this week but not sure. We want to make sure he is ok. To the ones who don't know Rusty's story. He has arthritis in his front feet after falling out of a two story burning building when he was just 8 weeks old. His sister ended up with cysts in her paws from the impact. I was working when my coworker asked if I wanted a boy or girl. Ummm excuse me?? Answer...male? And it was love at first sight. He didn't have any real problems growing up but now it has caught up. He has always been afraid of heights. If you pick him up he hides his face 😥 and he is terrified of wind/ outside. His vet says he remembers the sounds of falling 😭 Thankfully he fell and didn't get burned. No clue how many kitties there were and I'm just hoping it was just them. And thankful for their age so we didn't need to have momma. Fires are no joke!! Hense why we did the pet safety day with the Hartford Fire & Rescue Wisconsin check out their video! 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐖𝐈 𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞, 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭⁣

On August 20, 2026, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers were notified of a small electric vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 60, creating a traffic hazard.⁣

Officers made contact with the operator, a 48-year-old Jackson man, who admitted to consuming alcohol approximately two hours prior to the incident. During the investigation, officers determined the man was out on bond in three misdemeanor cases and was subject to a condition requiring absolute sobriety.⁣

Based on the investigation, officers arrested the man for OWI 5th Offense and three counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Charges have been referred to the Washington County District Attorney's Office.⁣

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐊𝟗⁣

On August 21, 2026 at approximately 2:28p.m. Jackson officers were dispatched to a theft of medical equipment from a business near Tillie Lake Rd. The suspect took multiple boxes of medical equipment that had been delivered to the business and fled on foot into the marsh west of the roadway. Officers responded to the area and located the male, who fled further into the marsh. Officers set up a perimeter and drone and K9 resources were requested to the scene. ⁣

A K9 track was started. During the track, the drone operator located the suspect and guided the search team to him. The suspect continued to disobey commands and was non-compliant. Hartford PD K9 Flash apprehended the suspect and officers took him into custody. The suspect continued to resist after being taken into custody and was non-cooperative as officers worked to exit the marsh. ⁣

The suspect, identified as a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, was transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of Misdemeanor Theft and 2 counts of Obstructing/Resisting an Officer.⁣

The Jackson Police Department thanks our public safety partners at the Washington County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office, Slinger Police Department, Hartford Police Department, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for their assistance with this case. ⁣
